Assisted Lymphatic Therapy

Assisted Lymphatic Therapy (ALT) is a non-invasive technique to stimulate the proper flow and drainage of the lymphatic system that is painless, calming, and relaxing.

It is similar to having a light touch massage, but instead, the Certified Lymphatic Therapist (CLT) uses an instrument with two small handheld wands that use a combination of vibration, light, and micro-current that are highly effective at breaking up stagnant lymph, help stimulate the flow of the lymph and help this very important system in the body flow optimally.

How does the lymphatic system become congested:

The lymphatic system can become congested due to lack of physical activity, poor diet, stress, hormonal imbalance, exposure to Environemtal toxins, damaged/removed lymph nodes, swelling, chronic inflammation, fatigue, emotional components, and poorly fitted undergarments worn for an excessive amount of time. When lymphatic circulation slows down, the regeneration of cells becomes less effective. This condition allows toxins and proteins to accumulate around the cells, causing cellular oxygenation to decrease and tissue regeneration to diminish. Unlike your venous system, your lymphatic system has no pumping mechanism to keep the fluids circulating through the body. Therefore, the lymphatic system is always at a higher risk for blockage. When the system gets congested it can look like a backed-up sink. The environment our cells and organs live in is crucial to optimal health.

Since lymphatic organs play an important role in the immune system, the proper flow of the lymphatic fluid can positively impact many conditions faced today.

An impaired lymphatic system often results in: colds, flu and sinus problems, edema and excess water retention, heart disease, fibrocystic & tender breasts, cellulite, enlarged prostate, fatigue, and cancer.
